Overview

Traefik is a modern HTTP reverse proxy and load balancer that makes deploying microservices easy. It integrates with your existing infrastructure components (Docker, Kubernetes, Swarm, AWS, Marathon, Consul, Etcd, Rancher, etc.) and configures itself automatically and dynamically. By listening to your orchestrator's API, Traefik can discover services and create routes to them without manual intervention or restarts.

Beyond its core proxy capabilities, Traefik offers advanced features through its commercial product, Traefik Hub, which provides a full API Gateway and API Management solution. This includes functionalities like Web Application Firewall (WAF), AI Gateway with built-in guardrails, and GitOps-driven API lifecycle management, making it a comprehensive solution for managing and securing modern application traffic from the edge.

Best For

Routing traffic to microservices in Kubernetes clusters
Managing ingress for Docker Swarm deployments
Centralizing API security and routing for modern applications
Replacing NGINX Ingress controllers for dynamic environments
Implementing GitOps for API lifecycle management
Protecting web applications and APIs with WAF

Key Features
